If you’ve heard of paid surveys, you’ve likely heard of Survey Junkie.
They’ve quickly become one of the most popular ways to earn extra cash and currently have more than 8 million members. But is it worth it?
With all online endeavors, it’s critical to find out whether or not it’s credible.
In this case, I wanted to find out whether Survey Junkie was a legitimate paid survey site.
Is Survey Junkie Legit?
The first thing I did was check to make sure that they had a solid standing with the BBB. They had an A+ rating, so that checked out. Next, I saw that they were the highest rated survey site on Trust Pilot. And people had pretty great things to say about it.
So I decided to dig a little deeper. What is it that people like about this panel? How much can you actually earn when you take their surveys?
I signed up and decided to find out!

How Easy is it to Get Started on Survey Junkie?
Signing up for Survey Junkie was a pretty simple and straightforward process. All I had to do was enter my email address on their homepage, (but you can create an account with your Facebook or Google account as well if you prefer). You’ll get 25 points for signing up.
After that, they’ll prompt you to fill out your general profile. When you answer this series of questions, you’re providing them with info they need to help match you to the best possible surveys for your lifestyle and interests.
Not only does that mean you’ll have a better chance of qualifying for these surveys, you’ll also probably enjoy the ones you’re taking more than you would if they were totally irrelevant to you. As an added bonus, you’ll get 50 points for answering those questions too! Not bad, huh?
How Easy Is It To Use Survey Junkie?
As far as survey panels go, one thing I love about Survey Junkie is how easy it is to navigate the site. The platform is super intuitive, so it’s easy to get from point A to point B without getting a massive headache. If you’ve ever tried other panels, you can understand why this is a huge perk.
You’ll find that on your personal dashboard, each survey has been marked with a points value and the estimated amount of time it will take to complete (see image below). That made it easy for me to decide which surveys I wanted to invest my time in!
So what about the actual surveys themselves? I enjoyed most of the ones that I took, and found that with consistent effort and dedication, it wasn’t difficult to hit the redemption mark!
Survey Junkie has a really low payout threshold and isn’t difficult to hit the redemption mark. Once you hit 1,000 points ($10), you’re eligible to cash out. That’s pretty low in comparison to other sites, where it often feels like you have to wait forever before they’ll let you cash out. When you redeem successfully, you’ll get paid immediately.
How about the drawbacks? Like any panel, not all of the surveys are interesting. And some of them can take a while to complete (up to 30 minutes). But overall, I definitely found Survey Junkie to be a productive – and pretty fun – way to spend our free time.
What Can You Actually Earn on the Site?
Most importantly, what can you earn when you sign up for the site? A lot of people complain that they can’t find places to earn real money online. If you’re one of those people, you’ll love this site!
Survey Junkie offers the chance to cash out with PayPal, which means you can just get straight cash put into your bank account.

It’s super important to note that you will NOT get rich taking paid surveys. So if you’re expecting this to replace a full-time job, you may want to consider other options to supplement your income as well.
